According to official data, Turkey exported approximately 6.85 million tons of cement clinker between January and November 2025, highlighting sustained foreign demand for Turkish building materials.
Romania Becomes One of Turkey’s Leading Clinker Destinations

In October 2025 alone, clinker shipments to Romania reached around 159,000 tons, marking a 56% month-on-month increase.
During the first eleven months of 2025, Romania imported approximately 692,000 tons of clinker from Turkey, ranking as the second-largest destination after Italy.
European Market Dynamics
Turkey’s strong export performance is supported by its extensive production capacity, with annual clinker capacity exceeding 100 million tons and total cement capacity close to 149 million tons.
However, the European market is increasingly influenced by the EU’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), which is expected to reshape pricing, sustainability strategies, and long-term competitiveness in cement exports.
